Salary: $40,000 – $60,000

You must have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, be a self-starter, and able to anticipate what needs to be done and take action. You must have good analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. The role will require using skills below in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment.

The role will eventually be based in Mammoth Lakes, CA. Over the next few months, there could be locations where project work will be occurring in the greater LA area.

You will:

Be responsible to develop and implement analytical methods for QC/QA
Work with other team members to implement solutions regarding process improvements and new processes by providing input from an analytical and methods perspective
Work in a self-managed environment
Have the desire to learn new technologies and leverage existing chemistry in innovative ways.
Be flexible and provide skills in other areas as needed. Example: process improvement/new chemistry development if needed

Basic Qualifications:

BS or BA in chemistry preferred
1+ years research experience in an organic or analytical chemistry lab.
Understands the principles of chromatography.
1+ years of experience in flash chromatography and associated analytical techniques (TLC, HPLC-UV, HPLC-MS, NMR).
Familiarity with analytical instrumentation. Experience in LCMS, GCMS, GC-FID, HPLC-UV preferred.
Familiarity with basic organic chemistry laboratory skills (acid/base chemistry, liquid-liquid separation, distillation, recrystallization).
Ability to work in a GLP and GMP environment.
Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in bio-based chemical manufacturing plants
Working knowledge of Six Sigma/Lean Manufacturing principles
