Job Description – Operations Manager

Seeking an experienced, motivated Operations Manager with a strong background in management and marketing to be responsible for all administrative duties associated with the day-to-day operations of a legal, licensed cannabis production and processing facility. This position reports directly to the owner of the company, and will be held accountable for ensuring smooth and efficient daily operations. Candidates must have a proven track record of developing, organizing, and leading large projects with many moving parts and multiple employees. The person chosen for this position will be responsible for creating an atmosphere that promotes teamwork by providing support and encouragement to fellow staff members and employees. In addition, this position will have an active role in the planning and execution of our phase 2 construction and build-out which will include approximately 20,000 sf of greenhouses. We are expanding rapidly, and we are looking for someone who is capable of assisting in that capacity. The following responsibilities are typical duties related to the position. Additional tasks and responsibilities may be added on an as needed basis.

Responsibilities
• Hiring, scheduling, and coordinating staff
• Establishing and maintaining relationships with ancillary vendors
• Scheduling meetings, setting agendas, following up as necessary
• Optimizing labor force efficiencies
• Ensuring a smooth and efficient employee workflow
• Fostering team work and nurturing team assets
• Staying informed of industry news and trends
• Routine bookkeeping
• Market research and analysis
• Defining objectives, choosing a course of action, and evaluating outcomes
• Ensuring facility and staff remain in full compliance with all laws, rules and regulations
• Practice and enforce accountability for the actions of self and subordinates
• Ordering materials/supplies, tracking inventory
• Attend seminars, conferences, and other industry-related events
• Make sure staff adheres to strict set of SOPs
• Maintaining open lines of communication with Owner, Staff, CPA, Attorney, LCB, County Officials etc…
• Authorizing sales, purchases, and deliveries

Qualifications
• Degree in Business (MBA preferred) plus at least 3 years of upper management experience
• Ability to recognize and address the needs and concerns of retail partners
• Well organized, detail oriented, proactive, assertive
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Effective time management capabilities
• Critical thinking and decision making
• Thorough understanding of all federal guidelines, and state and local rules and regulations
• Ability to organize, motivate, and delegate responsibility to staff
• Capable of working efficiently both as a team and individually
• Able to set and meet strict deadlines
• Strong computer skills
• Experience in cannabis industry a HUGE plus
